A lot of people think cooking is such a hard thing. When I refer to myself doing something in the kitchen, I usually get: “Wow! You cook?”

If you boil an egg, well that’s cooking!

So I decided I’ll show you how easy it is to cook by posting a couple of easy recipes. The dish of the day is marinated chicken roasted with potatoes..

INGREDIENTS:

– 1 chicken

– 3 cloves of garlic

– 10 tablespoons Ketchup

– 3 table spoons HP sauce

– 3 tablespoons Worchestire Sauce

– Sea salt (the rough one)

– 2 potatoes

– a tiny piece of butter

METHOD:

1. Pre-heat the oven to 200 degrees celsius

2. Wash the chicken with water

3. Rub the chicken with 1 teaspoon of  salt

4. Mix the three sauces together ( ketchup, HP, worchestire )

5. Rub the chicken with the sauces

6. Add the garlic inside the chicken and keep the chicken aside

7. By the time, cut each potato in 4 pieces and add to boiling water

8. Add 1 tablespoon of salt and 1 tablespoon of oil to the water

9. Let the potatoes boil for approx. 7 min

10. Insert the chicken in a pyrex and add the butter piece on top of it

11. When potatoes are done, strain them from the water and arrange them near the chicken

12. Cover the pyrex with a silver foil but puncture a little hole through it with a fork

13. Insert the pyrex in the oven for approx. 1 hour

14. After half an hour has elapsed, add 1/4 cup of water to the chicken (this will keep it moist)

15. You will know that the chicken is done when a brownish crust forms on top. Sometimes  it may need a little more or less time than stated depending on the oven used.

BON APPETIT!
